Alumni Newsletter - October 2009

Alumni Newsletter Header
  October 2009 Edition
Dear Cate Alumni,

This fall, our School hosted receptions in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, and Washington D.C. Thank you to all those who attended. It has been wonderful to meet so many energetic and enthusiastic Caties!

Alumni have also been a strong presence on the Mesa lately. Your Alumni Council President Lisa Browne Stanson '92 and Vice President Casey McCann '97 are frequent visitors, and many other alums have dropped by as their travels bring them through Carpinteria.

Please don't hesitate to give us a call when you're in the area. If you're lucky, you might even score lunch in the Dining Hall!

Finally, on Friday, October 16th, the Cate community gathered together for a groundbreaking ceremony of the new Emmett-Horowitz Aquatic Center. Watch a short video of the event here; you can see the new regulation-sized, double-deep competition pool outlined on the ground.

Thank you for reading. Keep in touch.

Want to keep in touch with classmates in your area or those who share similar interests?

We can help!
Go to www.catealumni.org, and check out the groups feature at 'My Profile' and then 'My Groups'.

Class groups supply you with the easiest way to stay in touch with classmates, allowing an easy and secure way of communicating.

Once you are a member of a group you can set your preferences ('My Profile' then 'My Preferences') to:
  • Receive an email when a member of the group updates their profile (address change, phone number change, etc.).
  • Receive an email when a member of the group uploads a photo.
  • And finally, receive an email when a new member joins the group.

Please let us know if there are any special interest groups would you like to have on the website by emailing Hallie Preston.
