Dear Cate alumni,
The 2009-10 academic year has officially started! The campus has been reenergized after the quiet summer months.
I am excited to announce our new and improved alumni website. Many thanks to Mike Ferguson, Development/Technology, for his help and hard work on this endeavor! One of the new additions: We now have school Bulletin's from 1970 - 2009 available electronically. Click on the books and read what's inside. Check it out! |

Thank you for reading. Keep in touch.
Sincerely,
Hallie Preston
Director of Alumni Relations

Sunset Ceremony
At the beginning of every year, Headmaster Ben Williams gathers students and teachers on the lawn in front of Parsonage dormitory to the sound of Macbeth, a bell that has been part of Cate since its conception. The ceremony not only heralds a new school year but recalls the rich history that all join when they step upon the Mesa. Read more about the Sunset Ceremony here.

"100 X 100"
100% participation in our 100 Anniversary Year.
Since July 1, 2009, we are pleased to announce the receipt of $182,000 in gifts and $116,000 in pledges toward our 2009-10 Cate Fund goal of $1,588,000. Our participation goal for our 100th year is 100%.
During the 2008-09 fiscal year, the Cate Fund raised $1,508,754 with 39% alumni participation. The Annual Fund has immediate impact, contributing approximately 10% of the School's annual budget. All gifts, whether large or small, enhance the vitality of the School. Help celebrate Cate's 100th anniversary with your contribution. |
