Our Cate Vintner’s wine-tasting and picnic event continues to be a wild success. Last year over 100 Cate alumni and families made their way to Portola Valley to sample exceptional wines and view a world class tank collection. This year the tradition will continue in yet another special location with the event being held in Sonoma for the first time at Iron Horse Vineyards on May 1st. Laurence Sterling, a current Cate parent and Director of Operations at Iron Horse has generously offered his family's vineyard for the venue. And unlike in previous years when we encouraged bringing your own picnic, a light buffet will be available in Laurence's mother's home and garden adjacent to the winery. The Cate community, family, friends, and their children are invited for an afternoon tasting wines from Cate's family of vintners, enjoying the beauty of Sonoma County, and being hosted the Iron Horse way. It should be a great day.
