Want to share your thoughts with your class? Wondering what's on the mind of your classmates?
We can help – go to http://www.catealumni.org/ - and check out the alumni blogs. In addition to the community blogs such as the “Teaching and Learning” blog, every class has their own blog on the catealumni.org website.
To access your class blog - go to the catealumni.org website – Sign-In – Select “My Profile” à “My Groups” and click on your class group (your primary group will always be your class group). When you get to your class group you are presented with several very cool things:
- First is a list of anybody in your class that has recently updated their profile (address changes, phone number changes, etc.)
- Following that is your class blog. From here you can:
o Read posts to the blog
o Read comments associated with the blog entries
o Subscribe to the blog
o Post something new to the blog
- Finally you are presented with any news items that are related to your class.
How cool is that?
Adding posts to a blog is simple. First - click on the “Add New Post” icon, give you blog entry a title, and enter your post. If you want to get fancy advanced tools are available that allow you to add pictures, video, links, flash, etc.
To comment on a post to the blog - simply click on the “Comments” link under the blog entry you wish to comment on and enter your thoughts.
