Web Content Editor/Communications Assistant


Summary: Cate School, a 9-12 college preparatory boarding school, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Web Content Editor/Communications Assistant in the department of Communications. This position reports to the Director of Communications.


Responsibilities: The Web Content Editor/Communications Assistant will manage and update online content daily, writing and uploading short articles on events at the School. Content management includes uploading photos, videos, and articles from our publications. This person will also manage social media tools (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo). Responsibilities also include managing electronic photo archives, managing publication printing quotes and scheduling, and press release tracking and archiving.


Experience: Minimum one year writing and/or editing experience with excellent writing skills. Experience, ease, and flexibility with technology is essential. Experience in schools and with website management a plus. Excellent organization, time management and interpersonal skills essential.

Education: Completion of a bachelor's degree program in Journalism, Communications,
English or a related discipline.


Comparable with experience.
